The Bjorn opens for "The Big Four Live" in Alingsås
The Bjorn is booked to open for "The Big Four Live" on the 22nd of June. This is an event of special character for it is a broadcasted live consert from Sofia, Bulgaria. The Big Four consists of the four metal giants, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax. The Bjorn is set to take the stage just before the consert starts, during the walk-in shots over the festival area. For more info just head over to the Tour section or click this link.
Date for the gig in Borås now set
Finally the date is set for the show on Puls Lounge & Bar in Borås. It will take place on the 1st of October and The Bjorn will close the night before the local band, Varg. There will be a third band on the bill and it'll be posted as soon as it's set.
02/05/2010:
Hold On debuts on Swedish radio
On Friday the 30th of April "Hold On" debuted on radio. The band were featured during 30 minutes of the show in which they also performed the song "Black Hole Frequency Shifter" live in an acoustic setting. The whole interview and perfermance are available here.
The Bjorn booked for Herrljunga
The Bjorn will play at this years "Herrljungafestivalen", which will take place on the 5th of June. This will be the first appearance since the accident and first in a series of shows. Check back for more info.

"Hold On" - Release date, 30th of April
The brand new single, "Hold On", is ready to be released. The release date is set for the 30th of April and the song will be available on all different kinds of platforms as well as our website.
It will also be released as a limited edition CD-single, with artwork done by a dear friend to the band, Mattias Larsson. It will be available for purchase on our website.
The Bjorn will be doing their radio debut on the release date. They have been invited to "Sveriges Radio Sjuhärad" and the show Cocktail, to perform live and participate in the show. The link will be posted here so that everyone can enjoy the show over the net. The show airs 3.00pm on the 30th of April.
29/03/2010:
Shows cancelled and the mixing of a new track.
The shows in both Herrljunga and Gothenburg were cancelled due to an accident. Jonas broke both his right wrist and his left shoulder while snowboarding. He has been in rehab for a while now and the band hope to be back on track in a little while. In the mean time the band have been busy writing new material to extend their song portfolio.
As of now the show in Borås that was going to take place on the 2nd of April have been moved to the 7th of May. More shows are coming your way and will be announced as soon as Jonas is back on track.
Like announced earlier this year the song entitled "Hold On" is planned to be released and will be so later this month. It's been sent for mixing today and the band is excited to share it with the world.

The premiere of Club Land of Ashes on the 27th of Feb.
The Bjorn will be releasing their brand new single, "Hold On", on this evening. Everybody who attends the show will be able to download the song for free. As if this wasn't enough, the band will also perform a brand new song, which will be something special.
The band is also very excited to announce Leopard Ladys as the support act for this evening. The have been friends to the band for a long time and very eager to play since they've been on hiatus for som time now.

The Bjorn is booked for one more gig
On the 2nd of April, The Bjorn will be playing at Puls Bar & Lounge in Borås. This is a headlining show and they will share the stage with two more acts, which are yet to be confirmed. More info on this matter will be posted as soon as possible.

So go ahead and get the right mix between bands and songs to get the perfect mix-tape!

The Bjorn is booked for two new gigs!
On the 27th of February, The Bjorn will be playing at Gyllene Kärven in Herrljunga. The club is an initiative called "Club Land of Ashes,", which basically is a touring rock club, arranged by the band in small towns around in Sweden.
After that, Gothenburg is up next. On the 27th of March, The Bjorn makes a stop at the famous bar Diamond Dogs, for a show together with the good friends in Lucid Legend.

01/15/2010: The Mix-tape
So this is a little trip down memory lane. We had a little chat amongst us band members about the good old mix-tape. We all shared stories and good memories from the time when a well composed mix-tape could make the perfect day.
Damn, how I could go out of my way to get that perfect mix. It could take hours to get the flow in the set list so that every song fulfilled its purpose and pave the way for the perfect ending. I remember myself spending several hours on Sunday evenings on planning the structure of both sides of the tape, which usually was a 90 minutes tape. It was of great importance that every song I decided to add to the tape was good enough and really earned its spot on the tape because this wasn’t a procedure I would go through on a daily basis. If I hadn’t made that perfect mix I would be doomed to spend the rest of the week with that tape.
I even remember my old cassette deck, not the brand but the features and its special charm. It was important to me that every song had the same output signal so I would spend a lot of time to get it right with the input knob. Also, my cassette deck was not calibrated to hold the right speed. It actually had a lower speed rate so when I popped my tape into another tape player it would play faster than the normal speed. I thought this was super cool especially when I did discover Metallica’s catalogue. Songs like “Battery” and “Fight Fire With Fire” would play even faster on my tape than on my friends’ tapes.
We know that there are many of you out there who share similar stories from this mix-tape era. So, we will now announce a contest. Here it is;

12/19/2009: Blood is thicker than water
Release party “…from the land of ashes” 12 December 2009:
This night gave me an insight that I would like to share with anyone who might be interested.
So many times in the past I have been standing back stage waiting to go on stage. Adrenaline pumping and all that good stuff… “Let´s go out there and impress the hell out of these guys”, has been the kind of pep talk before entering the stage.
This time I had a different feeling. This time it felt much more genuine. We were standing backstage and we heard the whole room sing along to the music coming out of the PA speakers. We already knew that the night was going to be a success, we could feel it. This crowd didn’t come here to get impressed by anyone. They came out to celebrate with their friends. We just had to walk in there and join the party!
The question is, how many pure fans does The Bjorn have out there? I would say none.
But it seems we have lots and lots of friends that are as excited about our music as we are. And I have never felt this fulfilled in my entire musical career. So to all of our friends out there, let me give you a… Hell yeah!
